Christian Ethics and best practices

​Christian Ethics and Best Practices is a presentation about the biblical basis for Christian ethnics. Individuals will learn the practical application of Christian ethical principles and be able to identify the basic ethical concepts and their relevance in a clinical setting. The presentation also include information about effective hospital visitation that ​discusses the do's and don'ts of ministering to individuals in a clinical setting.

Anthony Burdick, M.Div., CPE

​Rev. Burdick joined the Department of Pastoral Care at the Baptist Memorial Hospital Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee in June of 1994 as a staff chaplain. While serving as staff chaplain he also worked with Baptist Trinity Hospice as bereavement coordinator. He began serving as director of Hospice Pastoral Care for BMHCC in 1996. In July 1997 he became director of Metro Pastoral Care. He became system ​director of Pastoral Care in February of 2006. He earned his Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1987. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Memphis in 1983. He and his wife, Libby, have a son (Ian) and a daughter ​(Peyton). They are active members of Faith Baptist Church ​in Bartlett, Tennessee.
