Dr. Granville Scruggs, Professor


B.A. Social Sciences from LeMoyne-Owen College
M.Div. from Memphis Theological Seminary
T.Hm. Ethnics from Princeton Theological Seminary ​
​D.Min. from Memphis Theological Seminary
Dr. Granville Scruggs currently serves as the president and as one of the professors of AIHC School of Biblical Studies. He received his undergraduate degree in Social Science from LeMoyne-Owen College. He continued his education earning a Master of Divinity degree from Memphis Theological Seminary.   He later completed a second Master's degree; a Master of Theology and Ethnics from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Memphis Theological Seminary. 

Prior to serving at AIHC School of Biblical Studies, he worked in other leadership roles in higher education. He was an Academic Dean and President of All Saints Bible College. He was one of the adjunct professors for Shelby State Community College which is now Southwest Community College. He also worked as a Career Counselor for LeMoyne-Owen College Summer Youth Program.

Dr. Scruggs, who has dedicated his life to serving God and His people, is a leader in the religious community serving as the founder and pastor of Fireside Temple Church of God in Christ. His special interest in church growth and membership inspired him to author a book entitled, "Member Retention: How to Retain Members at Your Local Church." As a faithful and loyal member of our leadership and faculty team, he continues to ​encourage and inspire many people with his gospel messages and teachings on the word of God.

He is married to Bobbie Scruggs. They have four children and four grandchildren.

Dr. Robert C. Griffin, Professor

B.A. from Mid-South Christian College
M.Div. from Harding School of Theology
Ph.D. from The University of Memphis

Dr. Robert Griffin is a professor at AIHC-School of Biblical Studies.  He received his undergraduate degree from Mid-South Christian College.  He continued his education, earning a Master of Divinity from Harding School of Theology and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Memphis.  He also works in other leadership roles; Academic Dean at Mid-South Christian College and a faculty member at the University of Memphis.

Dr. Griffin is a dedicated Christian minister, serving God and HIs people in the Memphis community.  He also serves as the director of Christian Churches Cuba Mission.

He is married to Lisa Romine Griffin.  They are proud parents and grandparents.
